It's Official: Lance Armstrong Returns To Professional Cycling
Sep 9, 2008 Today Lance Armstrong announced that indeed the rumors are true--he will be returning to professional cycling.
Lance Armstrong is the only individual to win the Tour de France seven times. He is also a cancer survivor, philanthropist, and the founder of the LiveStrong Foundation. In October 1996 Armstrong was diagnosed with nonseminomatous testicular cancer which had spread to his lungs, abdomen and brain. After undergoing treatment, he has become a 12 year survivor (Oct '08). Having retired from competitive cycling in July 2005, he will return for the 2009 season.
